He felt the call of duty to serve his nation, so at the age of 17 enlisted in the US Air Force. He served 12 years in the Command and Control of US spy aircraft and nuclear missiles. After the Air Force, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa.
