Ross attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness. Upon graduating from UNK, Ross returned to Harlan County to work for Nebraskaland Aviation and manage the Alma airport location, along with selling fertilizer and chemical.
