Randy Gustafson

Farm & Ranch Specialist

Randy Gustafson was raised on a farm northwest of Aurora, Nebraska in Hamilton County. He worked alongside his father in a livestock and grain production operation. Randy was involved in FFA from his freshman year in high school to his first year in college serving as a state officer. He graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Agriculture in 1973 with a degree in Agricultural Economics.

Randy served 4 years in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He worked with Air Weather Service stationed in Germany and discharged as a staff sergeant.

Randy’s career has always been focused on agriculture. Approximately seventeen years were spent in ag lending for a major agricultural lender and commercial banks. Loan servicing stretched across the western three-fourths of Nebraska. Randy also provided ag real estate loan origination for a major insurance company. Twenty-nine years have been spent in agricultural real estate activities including brokerage, farm management, and agricultural appraisal. Randy was the Western Sales Manager for a major farm management and real estate company and assisted with complex appraisals. He is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He received the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation from the ASFMRA in 2005.

Randy and his wife Linda reside in Lincoln, Nebraska after moving from the home farm in 2016. It was time to be closer to their two daughters and their families. Rachelle and her husband Trey live in Elkhorn along with their three children. Kristin and her husband Jesse live in Lincoln along with their three children. At this stage of life, Randy’s interests are mainly following the activities and sporting events of the grandkids.

Randy is pleased to be part of a team like AgWest Land Brokers. He trusts that his experience and contacts will serve the company well and be useful for the clients and customers he serves. The core values I have had for many years in the real estate business match those of AgWest Land Brokers which made it an easy decision to join this team.
